SAN JOSE, CA, September 15, 2020 — Movellus announced today the company will provide a flexible paid day off for its U.S. employees to vote in the coming presidential election. Employees living in states allowing early in-person voting have the option to use the holiday any time during that period or on election day to vote.
For those states offering early voting, the voting time window varies from 45 days to 3 days before election day, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
“I was impressed by seeing multiple companies offering election day off. I realized we had the opportunity to take it one step further by offering our employees the option to vote early to avoid the potential safety risks of large election day crowds during this pandemic,” said Mo Faisal, Movellus founder & CEO.
Faisal continued, “I hope other corporate executives will join in offering flexible paid voting time off — as a community we can help distribute crowd size and make it as safe as possible for everyone to vote.”
